Great way to introduce Baroque to Kids June 18, 2008 Nancy Pearcey These percussion adaptations are a great way to introduce your kids to Bach and other early composers. Fun, light-hearted approach using xylophone, triangle, marimba, drum, etc. Our family has really enjoyed Bach on Wood.
Just awful February 24, 2005 RComposer (Fla.) 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
This record is a complete waste of your money. This guy can play the notes but has no clue what the music is about. I believe he was considered a "promising young musician", but good luck finding anything else by him. Terrible.
Some really Great Holiday music November 12, 2004 R J Garsetti (east hampton, ny) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Great holiday music for all ages. My favorite holiday cd of all time. Bravo Brian! You should make a few more of these. Very highly recommended.
Virtuousity on Wood April 14, 2000 John Howard (Boston MA) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
This is one of my favorite disks. Slawson playing all the percussion gives the opportunity to listen over and over again, hearing the finer details of how he's knit together traditional and unique percussion effects. Great for in the car on a long trip!
