Description TOS's THE GHOST OF CHRISTMAS EVE - now available for the first time on VHS and DVD - is a unique fantasy trip through the magic of Christmas. Narrated by award-winning actor Ossie Davis, the production takes us on a journey of a runaway little girl's decision to return to her family after she enters a rundown theater for shelter and encounters an old caretaker who guides her on her journey. This magical story - which features appearances from Atlantic recording artists Jewel and Michael Crawford - was filmed entirely on location at the newly refurbished and historic Loews Jersey Theatre in Jersey City, New Jersey, and includes performances of such tracks as "O Come All Ye Faithful," "Good King Joy," "Christmas Canon," "Music Box Blues," "Promises To Keep," and "This Christmas Day,". Track Listing: O' Come All Ye Faithful/O Holy Night Good King Joy Hark! The Herald Angels Sing -- Featuring Jewel Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24) Christmas Canon O Holy Night -- Featuring Michael Crawford Music Box Blues Promises To Keep This Christmas Day First Snow

It's a story, not a Rock Video November 10, 2008 Just_Thinking (Aberdeen, MD USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've read other reviews and all the ones 3* and below seem to be looking for a live performance video and not the Christmas story it was meant to be. I absolutely LOVE this video. I've seen them live 4 times as well and would love a DVD of that, but I wonder if they could possibly capture the magic of the live show. This DVD attempts to tell a story with music and I feel it does a wonderful job. I get chills EVERY time I watch this video and usually it's the one thing that can get me into the Christmas spirit anymore. The music is absolutely uplifting! while the story is more than adequate. Go with the vast majority and purchase this item. You won't be sorry.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra - The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve October 24, 2008 Andrew J. Kearney (Prospect Park, PA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is an awsome example of what their Concerts are like live. If you can't be there then this is the DVD to get.
Trans-Christmas October 11, 2008 Wendy Barrett (Pennsylvania) I had seen this on PBS and decided to buy it. I really enjoy the music and like the artists that they have singing some of the songs.
Wonderful combination of classical & heavy metal! March 18, 2008 S. S. Simmons (Northeastern Michigan) We ordered this video after seeing TSO in concert around Christmas of '06. We now watch the video every holiday season & never tire of it. What a talented group of musicians!
