Reverently Irreverent October 13, 2008 David B. Bennett (Pittsburgh, PA USA) This is my all time favorite Christmas CD. It's a family favorite that is a delight to bring out each and every Advent season. It's wacky, funny, beautiful, marvelous and a real gem. First of all...it's 3 sisters singing joyous harmony together. There's not a traditional rendition on the whole CD...but the Roches put their own wonderful stamp on each song. This is a particularly great CD to keep in the car because it's fun to sing along. I highly recommend this CD.
If you appreciate the crazy but wonderful side of Christmas March 12, 2008 R. COUSINS (Phoenix, AZ United States) The Roches are all but gone now. They have one recent release. They are from the 80's. Most of what I have of their fine song writing is on vinyl. The three sisters were inspired and trained by their dad. But this disk is of Christmas standards done in their own harmonies, their own musical idiom. I first saw them on "Saturday Night Live" way back in their salad days. They did an a cappella version of Handel's chorus. It stopped the show. Winter Wonderland in Brooklynese! Get it before it is lost!
Beautiful Christmas Music February 10, 2008 S. Sywak (NY United States) This is a favorite in my family, so I'm going to be a little biased!
We Three Kings February 8, 2008 S. H. Towhey (Atlanta, GA USA) We Three Kings displays the considerable talent of The Roches. It has so many traditional Christmas songs with great arrangements.
One of the best Christmas albums January 13, 2008 It has a great beat and it is easy to dance to. Seriously, we have enjoyed the cassette tape of this album for years and were delighted to get it in the CD format so we can play it in the car. The voices and harmonies are outstanding.
