Both great instrumentals and vocals January 31, 2008 Sixties Girl (Mpls, MN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was another album we always listened to when I was a child. It's kind of Mormon Tabernacleish sounding, with all the religious songs of the holidays right there. Not a secular one in the batch. But for that lush Sixties Christmas sound, with loads of strings and smoothness (can you say Muzak) it cannot be beat. I like to turn it up loud and sing along--then put on the Billboard Christmas favorites or Jimmy Buffet's Christmas as an antidote right afterward.
Philadelphia' Orchestra January 17, 2008 Chery Wilde (King of Prussia,PA USA) This is a terific CD of music from one of the best orchestras in the world joined by the vocal talents of Temple U. Concert Choir. The selections are perfect- joyful, festive, reverent.

The seller was efficient and I received it when I was suppose to and in time for the holiday.

Not what I expected January 7, 2008 Ben Applebaum (Netherlands) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Being fond of old-fashioned English christmas carols/hymns, this CD didn't deliver. I bought it mainly hoping it had a well-performed old-style version of "Oh holy night" (seems to be tough to find this one!), but alas. If you're more into christmas songs with 'punch', a bit 'bombastic', then this CD is maybe for you.
