Amazon.com This somewhat unpleasant 1992 sequel to the blockbuster Home Alone revisits the first film's gimmick by stranding Macaulay Culkin's character in New York City while his family ends up somewhere else. Again, the little guy meets up with colorful people on the margins of society (including a pigeon woman played by Brenda Fricker) and again he gets into a prop-heavy battle with Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern. The latter sequence is even worse than the first film in terms of violence inflicted on the two villains (director Chris Columbus, who also made the first film, can't seem to emphasize the slapstick over the graphic effects of the fight). The best running joke finds a concierge (Tim Curry) at the swank hotel where Culkin is staying trying and failing to prove that the boy is on his own. --Tom Keogh
Description Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) is back! But this time he's in New York City with enough cash and credit cards to turn the Big Apple into his own playground! But Kevin won't be alone for long. The notorious Wet Bandits, Harry and Marv (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern), still smarting from their last encounter with Kevin, are bound for New York too, plotting a huge holiday heist. Kevin's ready to welcome them with a battery of booby traps the bumbling bandits will never forget!

Hilarious and Heart-Warming November 19, 2008 Anna Hemmingway People look at me like I'm nuts when I tell them that this is my favorite of the Home Alone films. Well whatever. The main reason that I like this movie is because of the way they portray New York's best sights like Central Park, etc. Whereas the first movie kept most of the scenes at his home, this one explores other scenery. And the cast is hilarious. My favorite character (aside from Kevin)is the bird/homeless woman who ends up being a sweetheart. I always choke up at the end when she and Kevin hug it out. I think everyone should have this movie in their holiday collection. Yes, and the first one too.
Love the movie, HATE the DVD November 13, 2008 Timothy P. Miller (Centerville, GA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This review is not for the movie, which i love, i grew up on this one. It's for the DVD. It is letterbox and looks like crap on a widescreen tv. Wait for them to re-master this one like they did for the original in the 'Family Fun Edition' which i recommend. Do Not, i repeat, DO NOT waste your money on this one. Hope this helps someone not make the mistake i did.
Home Alone 2 is wonderful! November 11, 2008 Snow Girl This is one of my favorite holiday movies, because it's funny and entertaining and it's not centered around Santa Clause!
Home Alone2 November 3, 2008 Marilyn Parker (USA) I love Home Alone 1&2. Kevin gets on the wrong plane and winds up in New York instead of Florida. I have a hard time believing that a kid could just wander around New York by themselves, but still funny and enjoyable.
best one of them all!!!!!!! October 25, 2008 this one is the funniest even the traler of it on home alone (vhs only)best one thier is or ever will ever be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
