Amazon.com They've tried Catzilla, a feline so ferocious it can't be euthanized. They've tried booby traps that Rube Goldberg would marvel at. They've even tried Caesar (hilariously played by Christopher Walken), a demented exterminator whose "Squeak Seeker 2000" mouse-cam will infiltrate even the cleverest rodent's secret lair. But the Smuntz brothers Ernie (Nathan Lane) and Lars (British comedian Lee Evans) just can't win against the tenacious mouse that wreaks havoc in the vintage home they've inherited from their father. That's the one-note premise of this chaotic, lavishly produced comedy that starts on a high note and never lets up, eventually leaving the viewer exhausted. The special mouse effects (live-action, animatronic, and computer-generated) are delightful, and the slapstick is frequently ingenious, but the title says it all in a movie that is little more than an elaborate variation of Home Alone. A prime choice for family fun, but it's really just a live-action cartoon that overstays its welcome. It's harmless fun if all you're looking for is a marathon of slapstick gags and pratfalls, and it's notable as the final film appearance of veteran character actor William Hickey, who died in June of 1997, shortly after filming of Mouse Hunt was completed. --Jeff Shannon

What about the music? July 4, 2008 James (Denver, CO.) Since this product being reviewed is the soundtrack, does anybody want to write about the music? I've never heard it but I was hoping to see a review here
Excellent Movie!! May 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My grandmother and I saw this movie on TV... of course she would laugh out loud really louldly but I wouldn't. I loved this movie, because the mouse is trained very well and is very cute. I like how the director made one "Tom and Jerry" scene... for example when the Cat (Katzilla) is waiting for the mouse to pop out of his hole... the little mouse sets up 5 mousetraps, he moves one to the tail of the cat then.... SNAP, its on the cat's tail, which is like a "Tom and Jerry" scene. The Comedy of the two Idiot brothers makes this a must see, and a pure comedy movie. When I saw this movie yesterday the animation I saw was for the mouse, because I really didn't think he could jump from a ledge on to a string from a lamp swing to the next ledge and land. So I think to used some animation in that part. -Jesse
Very very funny, my kids worn out the VHS version... March 8, 2008 Henry Cunalata (Flushing, NY United States) ... had to get them the DVD. They love to slow motion through the funny parts.
Fantasy saved by cast December 28, 2007 Robert Armistead (California) A genius mouse, fine cast and fast paced action - what more could you want in a fantasy with a lot of 'suspension of belief' required? Nathan Lane and all the rest of the cast make you forget reality as they fight a seemingly losing battle with a very smart mouse.
Good clean fun! September 30, 2007 L. Gosselin If you like mayhem brought on by a cute fuzzy creature, this is a fun movie. I don't recall seeing so much destruction caused by such a small critter in a long time. There's lots of good slapstick by Nathan Lane and Lee Evans, a well-known English comedian. Christopher Walken is also memorable in this film as a pest exterminator. I think I also know, now, where some of the premise behind this past summer's hit "Ratatouille" came from...
