Amazon.com What might have been a one-note family comedy becomes something more thanks to the comic brilliance of costars Nathan Lane and Lee Evans, as well as the distinctive, dark-fable look given the film by a little-known director named Gore Verbinksi. (Could he be the next Tim Burton?) Lane and Evans play idiotic brothers who inherit a house and all but destroy it in pursuit of one small, pesky mouse. The guys are always the butt of the sight gags--most of which are very funny--but their considerable powers as slapstick artists are also at play. The climactic scene at an auction was the funniest scene in any American movie in 1997, the year of Mouse Hunt's release. --Tom Keogh
Description You’ll delight in this hit comedy that critics call “a roaring good time for kids and adults.” Down-on-their luck brothers Lars and Ernie Smuntz (Nathan Lane and Lee Evans) don’t think much of the crumbling old mansion they inherit… until they discover that their dilapidated estate is actually worth millions. But before they can cash in, they’ve got to rid the house of its single, stubborn occupant: a tiny and tenacious mouse. What might seem like child’s play becomes an epic battle of hysterical proportions.

MouseHunt review October 4, 2008 P. Glover (Toronto, ON CANADA) I honestly appreciate your speedy delivery and am pleased as punch as far as the quality is concerned
You must watch............... September 26, 2008 Judith C. (Madison, WI, United States) This is just a fun, fun movie for the whole family. I'm in my early 60's, and my 30 year old son told me about this movie. Nathan Lane is one of my favorite actors - his facial expressions are priceless.

Since this product being reviewed is the soundtrack, does anybody want to write about the music? I've never heard it but I was hoping to see a review here
Excellent Movie!! May 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My grandmother and I saw this movie on TV... of course she would laugh out loud really louldly but I wouldn't. I loved this movie, because the mouse is trained very well and is very cute. I like how the director made one "Tom and Jerry" scene... for example when the Cat (Katzilla) is waiting for the mouse to pop out of his hole... the little mouse sets up 5 mousetraps, he moves one to the tail of the cat then.... SNAP, its on the cat's tail, which is like a "Tom and Jerry" scene. The Comedy of the two Idiot brothers makes this a must see, and a pure comedy movie. When I saw this movie yesterday the animation I saw was for the mouse, because I really didn't think he could jump from a ledge on to a string from a lamp swing to the next ledge and land. So I think to used some animation in that part. -Jesse
