I've used these lights each Christmas for 2 years now. They're really fun and festive and add a lot of light to the Christmas tree. They can be particularly useful for drawing attention to the ornaments, which seem to light up when they're placed near the garland.
One point to note, each ball on the garland has a hole in both ends that the cable of lights runs through. These holes are significantly bigger than the wire, and as the balls shift around you can sometimes see the light through the hole instead of through the plastic ball. The end result is that in a few places, instead of seeing the glow of the ball you see the bright light that's inside the ball.
Also, care needs to be taken when storing and moving the garland because the balls will get marks on them if they rub together a lot or if they're squeezed in storage.

I purchased 2 of these garlands and they are amazing. The irridescence picks up any and all colors near it and the sparkle is nothing short of WOW! I plan to use these garlands on my fireplace mantle, along with some greenery for a real punch of sparkle. Great for the money!

I too was very surprised and disappointed when I took these out of the box. The description really should say that this is not a normal sized garland. I wanted to use it on my tree, but this is not the look I was going for. I may keep them to use in an outdoor garland.

Like the other reviewer, I got several strands of these (mine are frosted white instead of the iridescent clear) right after Christmas and the price was great.....(right here thru Amazon, w/Amazon as the seller) I paid about $12.50 per strand, enough so that two strands equaled the amount you need ($25.) for "free" shipping w/Amazon as the seller.
It is now the first part of February, '08, and I am just now getting to these. They work fine, I knew that, so I let them sit until now because I wanted to use them in very large, clear vases for some accent lighting at night....LOL...... uh, I don't think so...... these suckers are HUGE!!!
The box says just what you read here in the description..... 70 micro lights per garland, connect up to 3 garlands end to end, indoor outdoor use, and 6'long, 30" lead, etc....
The picture on the box is literally HALF the size of each bead.... yes, there are 70 micro lights per strand, but they are inside each bead (of course) and each bead is giant..... lets put it this way, my two foot vase could hold THREE beads with the fourth about 1/2 way in....LOL.....
They will be fine next year at the holidays for something, not sure what yet, but there is not any wreath I've seen (except maybe at Disneyland) where these beads would fit without looking silly, as the box says... "great for trees, wreaths & garlands"...... maybe at the Jolly Green Giant's house....
I'm glad I got them on sale..... they are definitely worth the sale price.... I would be pretty annoyed, however, if I paid almost $40.00 per strand...!!! ouch!
