Wonderful July 14, 2008 Lisa Ann Weber (Wheat Ridge, CO, USA) This book arrived in the exact condition the seller described. Quick delivery. Thank you!
Enjoyed This Book! January 20, 2008 C. Reppond (GA) All the stories had me wanting to read more then what was in the book. All of the writers had a good plot and some high energy characters. I really enjoyed this book. I had never read anything by Jennifer Crusie before, and found her style of writing fresh and entertaining. I will definitely be reading more of her books. In Cruise's story you find Trudy Maxwell in a toy store on Christmas Eve looking for the "Hot Toy" of the season. She runs into Nolan Mitchell (they had previously dated) and Reese Daniels (her father's research assistant from last year) and all three are looking for this toy for their own purposes. The fun starts from there soon she gets caught up in the middle of a spy game and has to determine who is telling her the truth. It really is a must read! Lori Foster has the second story and I will be looking for more books from her too! "Christmas Bonus" is about two co-workers, Maggie and Eric, finding themselves having fantasies about the other one. They don't know that the other likes them until one fateful kiss under some strategically placed mistletoe.... Carly Phillips holds the last story. I've enjoyed her other books just like I enjoyed this one. "Naughty Under the Mistletoe" is about Toni, who is dressed like an elf for the office Christmas party, and Max, a detective who doesn't want to be at the party but goes because his sick father wants him there. Toni has always been the nice girl but decides to be bad for just one night and finds herself kissing her soon-to-be-ex boss's brother. They have a pool game that leads to truth or dare, where they either reveal a secret about themselves or shed a piece of clothing. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.
Christmas porn December 4, 2007 the ArtWench (the Deep South) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It really pains me to say this; but, Santa Baby is short on story line and character development. Jennifer Crusie's novella, "Hot Toy" saved this volume from a one star rating; however, even this piece was not quite up to Crusie's usual rollicking good fun standards. If it were stand alone piece, I would probably have given the novella 3 stars. Lori Foster and Carly Phillips really disappointed me though and dragged the book down irretrievably. Foster's "Christmas Bonus" lacked everything but sex, of which it had way too much. And Phillips' "Naughty Under the Mistletoe" was so unbelievable that even the sex fell flat. All in all, I was thoroughly disappointed and saddened that Crusie's name is linked to this book. All three authors are much better writers than what was delivered by this book. Save your money and read some of their other works such as, Faking It by Jennifer Crusie.
A Waste of Money... August 30, 2007 Gayle (Woodland Hills, CA) I bought this book for Jennifer Crusie. I did not enjoy her story and the others were deplorable. This was a waste of time, money, and my eyesight. All three novellas were big " who cares". Ridiculous stories each and every one, each one highly implausible. Not even fun to read.
Not bad. January 25, 2007 Cassandra Byrd (Phoenix, AZ USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
In terms of chick-lit, this book wasn't bad. I wasn't expecting the hot and heavy scenes, so that was a lovely surprise. :)
