| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Author Francis Fernandez-Carvajal makes generous use of the writings of the great saints as he brings you focused and moving meditations on themes taken from the Mass readings for that day, the liturgical season, and more. This work is rich and extensive enough to serve as your spiritual reading for a lifetime, as it helps you relate the particulars of the message of Christ to the ordinary circumstances of your day. Each volume is small enough for you to carry it to Adoration or some other suitable place for meditation. The whole set comes with a handsome slipcase that prevents wear-and-tear on the individual volumes.

A Catholic Answer to the "Purpose Driven Life" December 11, 2004 Pete Vere (Ottawa) 48 out of 49 found this review helpful
For those seriously seeking to grow in holiness and bring some order to their daily prayer life, I strongly recommend this series. Drawing upon Sacred Scripture, the writings of the saints, and his own life experiences, the author brings together three daily meditations (about five to ten minutes each) that center around the Scripture readings of the Mass that day. Imparted in these meditations are knowledge of the faith, advice on how to pray more fervently, and a clear understanding of virtue and its importance. It also inspires us to serve God faithfully. A good Catholic answer to the latest Protestant craze over "The Purpose Driven Life".
Finding The True Spirit Of Advent With God. January 16, 1999 vaberlin@talstar.com (Tallahassee, Florida) 15 out of 17 found this review helpful
For my family and me, reading this book has become a tradtion during Advent. How many times have you roamed the shopping malls, your local Wal-Mart during Christmas only to come home and feel detached from the Birth of Christ-the true meaning of Advent? This insightful book places the reader on track as to why Christ was born, the importance of waiting for His Birth. I highly recommend this book for families. Read it together, talk about it, refresh yourself. A true guide to the Advent season!
