Product Description What would you do if you were given the opportunity to actually meet one of Santa's elves? What would one of Santa's elves do if he were given the chance to see something he'd never seen before...a real boy and girl! Elf in the Ornament is a wonderful Christmastime adventure, beginning at the North Pole. Santa's "experiment" involves elves living in special ornaments, hanging in the Christmas trees of unsuspecting little boys and girls during the weeks before Christmas Eve. The elves are only to observe the children and send nightly reports back to the North Pole, to help Santa keep track of who's being naughty or nice...but they are never, for any reason, to allow themselves to be seen. A simple experiment...until Alfred the Elf's curiosity causes him to accidentally come nose-to-nose with 9-year old Megan!

This is a very well written book for any child and/or adult. The lesson taught in the story harkens back to a more pure and simple time. I enjoyed reading this story and sharing it with my niece.
Really Different! My niece absolutely loved it. October 25, 2003 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My sister and her family were visiting me a week before Christmas last year. I had purchased this book at a signing event I stumbled across at the local mall, intending to read it to Laurie (my niece, age 8)during their visit. She loves books! (I noticed that the author was quite friendly with everyone waiting in line to get their books signed. He especially seemed to like talking to the children about Santa.) During the hour or so it took to read the story, she never moved. Her mother and I discussed it after she went to bed. This is a great story! I won't spoil the ending, but I think I enjoyed it as much as she did. It's not the "usual" Christmas story. The next day, she read it again! I watched as she smiled while reading it. This may be one of the best gifts I ever gave her. My sister told me Laurie read it again several times after they got home. I'm ordering several more this year to give to friends who have children. I look forward to other books by this author.
