Product Description Not everyone is lucky at Christmas. Some people would call 16-year-old Liz Kitchell and her family truly fortunate, but it doens't feel that way to her. It seems that only a miracle can give 8-year-old Katie her holiday wish. She wants a family, something she does not have as a foster child. As for 17-year-old Matt, he too is in a foster home and is finally letting himself feel a snese of belonging. When he allows himself to do a good deed for Katie, he doesn't realize what would happen. is the spirit of Christmas stong enough to grant the impossible?

Remarkable! January 10, 2007 Celena Barton (Georgia, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This little book tugged at my heartstrings from the get-go. I'm going to keep it around for when my girls get a bit older and need some reading to do. I think everyone should read this book... it's a definite must-read. I can't get any plainer than that. :)

This book was incredibly sad, but very good. I liked how the narration changed rom character to character. The best part: This book totally made me think it was really Christmas. The details are fantastic!!!!
A Wonderful Book!!!!!! January 4, 2002 This is a very sweet christmas story, but wonderful for any time of year (i read it in april). i took it with me on a long car ride, and ended up reading it three times. this is a very good book for all ages, especially around the holidays
Favorite Christmas book ever! October 21, 2001 Kristen (Virginia) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great book for Christmas time. It really gets you thinking about your life, and what a family means. I like how it didn't really have chapters. Each "segment" was introduced by a line in a Christmas carol and really pertained to the action of the story. I loved the ending too- I would have never guessed people could come together like that. This was my favorite Christmas book 4 years ago, and it's still my favorite today.
Wonderful Book for Christmas! July 10, 2001 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is an amazing book; with a great lesson to it. I love to read this book at Christmas time to my younger sisters. It has such a powerful message. You should buy several to pass out this year at Christmas. Believe me you won't regret it.
